So here's my portfolio and resume. Did a few changes from the last critique. Took away the underlind, made the title smaller because it was competing with some of the work. Add a couple more pages and also an ending page. I like how my resume is right now so I didn't really do much. Also, I didn't really know how to upload it so I saved it as a JPG. That's why the words and everything is so close to the edge. The printed version isn't so just ignored that.
So I really like the inside of my brochure, but the outside looks sort of um...plain I guess you can say. I don't know what to do with it. Like more pictures? lose the whole bus idea? Not too sure what I want to do yet. Any suggestion? =). But what I do know is I sort of want to lose all that black in the background.
So I just made some pictures a little bigger on this, changed the color a little to a more darker color. And played with the text, making some words bold, italic, etc..I was going to do what Michelle suggested on making the photos bigger so that way I can spread out the information to the empty blue panel. But then I remember why I left it empty because it's the back of the donation form so it's going to be torn off. So instead, I put the Globio and Bring a Book logo on there.
Please let me know what else I should do, I'm sort of running out of ideas.
So I tried to make the snowboarder look more like a snowboarder, then I made him smaller and paste him all over the place again. I made the little blue snowboarder a little more brighter and brought the background color down a little. The old one just seems to be a little too bright for me, so it's more dim now. I changed the font to Helvetica Neue and made it bold to try to make it stand out more.

- How are your 5 senses involved?
Sound: Well when you say sound, I guess I think of the sound of a skateboard rolling because it reminds me of that time. Also, it brings back memories of the different types of music I listen too.
Smell: I like that smell of a new clothing when you buy it
Taste: For taste, I think of Carl's JR. Just because me and my friends would always go there to eat when we went skating around. When I think of that, it makes me want to go get their "famous star."
Feel: A lot of their shirts have the feeling of a soft but thick material that I like. They don't usually have the ones that I don't like where the shirt soft of catches on to your dry skin.
See: As I said before, I love the style and design they use and their logo a lot. Simple and clean.

Our topic is smoking
Smoking is one of the most common forms of recreational drug use. Tobacco smoking
is the most popular form of smoking. There are less
common drugs for smoking such as cannabis and opium. Cigarettes contain nicotine, an addictive stimulant which is toxic. It deliver smoke to the lungs immediately and produce a rapid psychoactive effect. They say smoking harms almost every single organ in the body and reduces the health of a smoker in general. Tobacco smoke is the most leading cause of death because it could lead to Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Respiratory Disease, and other effects.
What I believe: Well everyone knows how bad smoking is, we have been learning about it ever since we were little kids. But I'm a smoker myself and I feel my heart and lungs get weaker and weaker each day. Smoking gives you a quick high but in the long run it's really not worth it. My dad had a heart disease and he's been smoking ever since he was 18. I believe people do it because everyone likes to rebel. You hear it's bad but you don't want to believe it, so you try it, but then after while you realize your addicted. I bet if everyone didn't smoke, we wouldn't have all those disease we have out there. Not just from smoking but also the second hand smoke too.
